Work started on version 4.2 recently, trying to make the user interface even better. Besides some UI enhancements there has been a dramatic improvement in the catalog load times.

No it is definitely not dead, I just have not had any time to update the blog. Media Catalog 4.4 was released last tuesday, you can download it at http://halfduplex.net/MediaCatalog.dmg (direct download link)
