Media Catalog 4.2 in progress

Hi everyone!

Work started on version 4.2 recently, trying to make the user interface even better. Besides some UI enhancements there has been a dramatic improvement in the catalog load times.

Media Catalog 4.1 is out! Tag support is here!

Hi All,

Just a quick heads-up to everyone out there that Media Catalog 4.1 has just been released. An official press release will follow in a few days. I'm really excited about this release because it feels like Media Catalog is really maturing nicely.

One last feature I added in 4.1, which I received a lot of requests for is: Tags! Add tags to your volumes in the Manage Volume section and they will show up in the information view when performing a search of browsing the catalog. That way you can easily attach information such as storage location and relevance to a volume.

Media Catalog 4.1, coming up!

Hi All,

It's been a while since the last blog update, but here it is. Version 4.1 should be released soon fixing a wide range of problems and getting a bit of an interface update.

Small summary of fixes/updates until now:

• Better sorting methods
• Fixed a small search problem
• Fixed slowdown when using catalogs with large amounts of volumes
• Modernized Interface
• Fixed crash as result of empty searches
• Added better feedback module

Small update

Hi All,

I got some feedback from Kenny from the UK on a small error in the search algorithm which would occur when searching for volume names.

Since this is a real minor bug I have not pushed out an update yet, but you can download it here if you'd like to get the version with the bug fixed.

4.0.1 Bugfixes

Hi All,

After a great 4.0 release it was time to get back to work. I got a lot of feedback from 4.0 users. Fortunately most of it was very positive, but as always there were some points of improvement pointed out to me.

That's why I addressed most of them in this 4.0.1 bug fix release. Most notable to users are:

• Improved behavior when a folder is dropped onto the application icon
• Removed the auto-cataloging of the /net, /home and /app directories
• Main window automatically reappears when clicked on the application icon after it was closed

That's all for now, let's see what the coming weeks will bring.
